It’s been a number of years since I’ve been engaged with our community on a weekly basis. I didn’t realize how meaningful it would be for me to hear from you and to have an opportunity to explore spirituality with you in this way, once again.

In a sense, I feel like a child who is learning new skills, one at a time. The discipline I’ve been focused on over the last two-plus years has been intimacy with God through writing. I’m not saying I’ve achieved it or that I’ve arrived, just that it’s integrated enough now that I’m not in a deep interior space all of the time anymore. I’m out here in the world again, excited you’re still here, grateful for the ways we’re interacting and where our conversation is leading.

I imagined there would be a conversation that would unfold in conjunction with writing a regular From My Heart once again, and by opening up a series of weekly videos responding to your questions. But I didn’t have a clue of what the conversation would look like specifically.

It’s a powerful reminder of how meaningful it is to engage with what you’re being guided to do, because at some point it will lead you into territory that hasn’t been explored before. And there you will find God somehow more completely.

This morning as I was sitting in the quiet interior of the embodied Divine, I saw an image of many streams and tributaries, all aspects of one river. Many expressions or experiences of God, all One.

The challenges that come up in our lives – in relationships, with money or calling, purpose, or circumstance – are all leading us to the One. But not one experience that is homogenous. Instead as One presence that is expressing in all these billions of ways.

As spiritual messengers, we focus on uncovering the gifts God uniquely expresses through us, or our message or mission, as if we needed to effort to figure it out, lest it remain hidden or we miss our opportunity to be as we really are, or do as we are called.

Yet the grand plan for each of us is unfolding, and there is nothing we can do to mess it up. Instead, each aspect of our lives in dissonance and resonance is leading us home to the truth of who we are, to the integrated experience of our innate wholeness. To our Divine Perfection.

And God’s gifts through you are expressing already, whether you’re conscious of them or not. Indeed – so too is God’s message through you. The process of becoming consciously aware of these is such an extraordinary journey.

I’m seeing the truth of this in our explorations together. A lens that has been in place for much of my life, continuing to illuminate and provide clarity to many different topics. With this I’ve started to notice how the many streams one river theme shows up in my message, as much as it does in the myriad experiences we encounter as human beings.

I’m reminded of a conversation I had last year with a good friend who said to me: “I’m having a hard time on several different levels, and wondering if your book might be a valuable resource for me?”

To which I said: “I’m sure it will, and: that’s a little bit like asking a hammer if everything is a nail!”

We both had a good laugh about that. And there’s a deeper truth to this exchange: The consistency with which we see the spiritual dynamics in the world is one way I believe we’re clued in to our message.

The questions that have been coming in to be explored in the weekly videos are so wonderfully diverse, and as I’ve begun exploring them, I can see the many streams of consciousness, and how together they all form one river of Divine Presence. And how the core of the message God expresses through me is refined in the process of responding to your questions, even as I come to greater clarity within myself. The flow of Divine Presence is profound.

None of us are outside of this flow. No experience beyond the love, grace, and care of complete Divine Presence.

As we come to this awareness and the experience of it, a vision begins to reveal itself. About how to live our lives. And how to serve others . . . how to share the gifts and message that the Divine is expressing uniquely through each of us.

All of it supporting our integration in exactly the ways it needs to be. Individually and collectively.
