The Pursuit — From My Heart
Seeking, we travel to the ends of the earth.
In the process we explore sacred sites, vortices, and more.
Blinded to the reality that our environment and experiences are a reflection of what lies deep within.
We pursue and pursue, until one day we discover that the carrot we are chasing doesn’t exist “out there” – and in that moment our pursuit ends and we turn inward.
And we remember a bit of ancient wisdom we have revisited many times before: the answer lies within.
***
What is it that distracts us; that takes us outside of ourselves?
Why have we become so uncomfortable in being present with others and ourselves?
***
How can it be that within a single vessel is both the source of the dissonance, and the ultimate source of resonance?
***
Where do you feel the dissonance within?
***
Where do you feel the resonance within?
***
This basic tension plays out in each aspect of life.
***
In relationship we pursue deeper resonance in the other, in the process resisting the dissonance.
***
With money we pursue abundance (another expression of resonance) and resist scarcity.
***
As we turn our attention inward, many times we pursue clearing the dissonance as a pathway to resonance. In the body, our minds, or the field around us.
Yet what we resist persists.
[Jung’s statement is profound]
***
So how do we embrace resonance in all its forms and expressions?
How do we uncover the resonance within?
***
Language is such a curious vehicle of perception.
It arises from the illusion of separation.
It can keep us caught in separation.
And it can also lead us to pierce separation.
***
Consider the seat of your resonance: your power center.
Herein is the Divine.
Pointed to with words, perhaps. Felt through experience and always available.
***
Reflected back in the sacred sites or the vortices.
Yet the source of that resonance we find outside lies within.
***
The noise – the dissonance – is always above the resonance.
***
The resonance is always underneath … indeed it underlies everything.
From the resonance arises all creation.
***
Some say quiet the mind.
I say descend into the body and you will open the door to unending resonance.
***
How does one descend you may wonder (if not now, then when dissonance is dominating your experience)?
***
First, know the process of descending is the natural by-product of resonance.
Therefore, as it begins, so it will continue.
***
Begin by taking you awareness to the top of your head.
Following your awareness comes the feeling.
Become aware of the resonance that is blooming.
Feel the resonance spreading – not just on your scalp – but throughout the entirety of your head.
As it spreads lower, become aware of the resonance blooming in your forehead and the opposite point on the back of your head (the occipital ridge).
***
Lower still as the resonance picks up your nostrils and mouth and jaw.
And down through your neck and into your torso – moving lower until you are aware of the resonance emanating throughout the entirety of your body.
***
Feel the resonance throughout the entirety of your body.
***
Marinate in the feeling of the resonance.
***
This feeling deepens through inner exploration and integration.
Herein lies the peace of God.
***
From the peace of God arises everything.
***
In your body.
In your mind.
In your soul.
In your life.
***
Are you ready to sink into resonance?
***
That’s it for this week … From My Heart.
Peace,
Ken
