What unites us?

Is it the things we perceive in the same way? Our common belief or opposition to an idea? Or is it outside the context of perceptual view or thought?

How wide should we cast the net when considering who ‘we’ are? Is everyone included?

Is there anything that unites us all?

I’m fascinated by the different ways human beings perceive and experience, from the very simple (what is this color?) to the infinitely complex (what is the Divine? Or: what is your relationship with the Divine?).

As the carrying wave of divine resonance that underlies one’s presence as well as words written or spoken shifts through the journey of integration and embodiment, it’s easy to become enamored with the idea that this deeper resonance reflects the Absolute Truth.

As if we are all tuning forks enlivened by divine resonance. But what if, rather than all being tuned to A440 (which would represent one absolute truth), we are each tuned to different frequencies which together comprise the full range of audible sound, 20hz to 20,000hz?

If we extend the metaphor a bit further, perhaps the embodiment and integration process allow for a larger range of divine expression to be carried in one’s presence and creative expression. This fits with the expanding perceptual view that appears to accompany integration and embodiment. The difference between what is integrated and unintegrated, coming down to whether the frequencies being expressed are distorted.

Language offers a canvas for expressing the divine tones, and though the words themselves may be the same, the depth of resonance they carry changes as one engages with this journey.

Who can hear or sense this deeper resonance? As tempting as it is to try to delineate, I wonder if this isn’t simply a function of the Divine Mystery?

What a relief!

The spiritual journey of vertical integration and embodiment, and the journey of the spiritual messenger—of horizontal integration and embodiment with all associated opportunities and invitations, yet none with a focus on perfection or “getting it right” by tuning into the correct single frequency—instead, a deeper invitation into the divine unknown, and more fully expressing as you really are. Trusting that the distortions are working themselves out as they must inevitably. A divine score that is being conducted and expressed through the symphony of all of humanity, without exception.
