Your Truth — From My Heart
As I discover my truth, I am inviting you to discover yours.
When I speak my truth, I am inviting you to speak yours.
***
What is your truth?
***
My truth doesn’t fit in a box.
Does yours?
***
Once I worried about having the right words to speak my truth.
But the words have always come when they are needed.
***
Once I was preoccupied with trying to find a way to communicate my truth so that others could hear and accept it.
***
For the first 5 or 6 months of Divine Connecting Breath I wanted to call it “Oil Pan Breath” (in a reference to the universal drain and plug) so it would be “more accessible” to people who would be experiencing it.
An intern at a friend’s film company (where we were editing the DCB training video) challenged me to go with the name of what it actually was. Why step away from the truth?
***
When I was in the process of putting my business on the web, I was focused on figuring out how to connect with people I could serve, who would be interested in working with me.
I was taking online spiritual business building courses and the message over and over again was “find a niche’!”
I spent long hours in reflection about all the people I had helped and discovered a common trait: trauma. Whether confirmed by a medical professional or not, each person I had worked with was dealing with some form of Post Traumatic Stress.
I built a website that focused specifically on Recovering From PTSD. It followed the conventional wisdom of finding a niche’.
However, the traction I sought in my business came only after I started honoring and speaking my truth that my message wasn’t meant for a specific niche’. Only then did I let go of the container and stopped modulating the message for a specific audience.
***
One of the most challenging lessons of my personal life has been learning to honor (and speak) my truth, even when I know it’s exactly the opposite of what the other is expecting – or believes – or even think they need.
Through this awareness, I’ve come to discover that the only way to honor the other, is to honor my truth first.
***
Learning to trust that inner voice and follow the resonance has made all the difference in my life.
In business, in relationship with others, and in relationship with myself.
***
That truth that I identify as mine is constantly unfolding.
Here’s where it is today:
The Divine is inside each of us. More to the point: The Divine is inside YOU!
No matter what has been done to you, or what you’ve done to others, the Divine is inside.
The Divine is becoming you, and you are becoming the Divine.
In fact, you are already whole, right now.
Any pain or suffering you may be experiencing comes from the illusion of separation.
Pierce the illusion and remember and experience who you really are.
If after experiencing who you really are, there still exists dissonance (in any form), it is arising from your attempt to control (with your ideas of how things should be, how you want them to be, etc.). There is only one answer: surrender completely (to the Divine) aka: completely let go of control.
Because we’re all human, we get to practice these truths in lots of different ways, in every moment of the day.
After a time, the gap between what is real and your experience has closed. And you are in Union.
Words are only so meaningful – so let’s have an experience of what I’m talking about!!
***
Interestingly, my truth has come from witnessing my gift in action with people all around the planet. It comes from an ongoing series of direct experiences.
If I had “sat on my hands” and done nothing I would have never discovered it.
***
That’s my truth.
What’s yours?
***
Is there something you can do today that you’ve been called towards for a while, but resisted because of some intellectual resistance?
***
That’s it for this week … From My Heart.
Peace,
Ken
