I’ve been thinking about you and the rest of our growing community, and remembering back to one aspect of its origin, which took place 12 years ago today, when Lin David Martin wrote on a piece of paper (at a meditation retreat where we were both participants): ‘You should be working as a healer.’ I was working as a mortgage lender at the time and had no idea what the word ‘healer’ meant.

A lot has happened in the twelve years since. I’ve been thinking about how divinely perfect it was that Lin and I would be together at that event, and then both paired up at the close of the retreat “randomly” – and all the other synchronicities that have unfolded since.

I’m grateful that we’re still connected in this way and I want you to know I don’t take it for granted. Messages about spirituality are available from many extraordinary sources. Thanks for continuing to be a part of this community.

I want to share with you today about your unique gifts and your divine mission, your purpose.

The Divine expression through and as you is happening, even if you’re not aware of it. You are enlivening others merely by your presence. Or when you say or do something you’re inspired to say or do. When you’re present with another – even if they don’t recognize or appreciate your presence. 

This is a gift. To those you encounter in your life. And to you.

When I think back on the journey of the last twelve years, the thing that stands out to me is how important it is to sustain and deepen the sense of connection to that place inside where you first encounter and experience the Divine. That place of resonance within. It always leads you where you’re needed, even if you never quite know what’s going to come next, or what the big picture is.

Keep it up. It’s worth it. YOU are worth it. Everyone out here in the world is worth it. The only way we’re going to receive God’s gifts that express through you is … through you!
