I sat down on the morning of 9/11/11 and wrote this:

Today I am praying for peace. First, in me.
That my anger, judgment, and hatred may be
replaced by the deep knowing that I am not
separate, and that I am loved.

In my family, that peace may find its way
into every area where currently there is
hurt and pain.

In our community, that we may all feel the
peace of God deeply in our lives.

And in our world, that we may recognize
every human being, every being that
lives, and every thing as an expression
of the Divine, without exception.
