Journaling (The Raw Feed)

Do you journal?

I do . . . sort of.

I’ve noticed I tend to journal when I’m upset, feeling challenged, or unsure. But if everything is in the flow, I generally don’t.

This past weekend I had occasion to journal because I got a couple of emails from members of our community. Their emails amplified a feeling I’ve been having lately: feeling like a fraud.

Spiritual Messengers (aka every single human being on the planet) go through three phases: I’m afraid I’m a fraud. I’m afraid I’m that (God). And I Am.

These are normal feelings. They relate to the developmental journey that we all go through.

The cycle of this process relates to stepping into the mystery further. Each time we do, we step beyond the boundary of what was previously integrated and embodied. When we take this step, it often leads to the fear of being a fraud. Not necessarily from the step itself (though this can happen). Something that was previously held back in separation breaks free, and so the separate self has an opportunity to more fully integrate (by feeling like a fraud).

As I was journaling about all of this, I realized there are some essential aspects of my business and mission that I’m feeling out of integrity with, and I haven’t wanted to be present with these feelings or their source. Being present with these aspects requires me to feel the discomfort of the things that are not aligned, and once I’m present with these feelings, I know I’ll have to take action. Because I’ve been stepping out in a bigger way into the Mystery and working to integrate everything (which sometimes feels like struggling to stay balanced), the idea of being present with the things that I’m out of alignment with and the inevitable actions I’ll take (which feel like more overwhelm to my separate self), I chose to avoid, instead of being present. It’s a pattern that keeps me locked in a cycle of suffering until I’m willing to be present. Journaling helped me begin unlocking this pattern.

And as all these points of awareness flooded in, a simple truth in the background kept moving closer and closer for me to be with; the invitation to journal is a daily opportunity.

As I sat with all of this, I started thinking about how I can be of deeper service to you.

Before I started focusing on the book in a bigger way several years ago, I wrote a ‘from my heart’ or ‘from my soul’ email nearly every week. I was feeling that call again at the close of Saturday’s journal.

What better way to honor that, than to share this with you today? To start up again with the raw feed from my heart, to yours.

I started with a question – and I’m interested in an answer if you’re willing to share with me. Do you journal?

If you do, what do you journal about? If you don’t, is it something you’re resisting, or has it never held any interest?

If you don’t journal, what do you do to connect with God in a conscious way each week or day?

You can reply in the comments below. I read your comments, and I’ll and personally respond.

The most essential element in our community is the spark of divine presence within you. It’s within you and everyone on the planet.

That’s it for this week … From My Heart.

In God’s Love and Presence – Further Into the Mystery – All the More Extraordinary with You!
