From My Heart – Newbie
Do you regularly take time to reflect on where you’ve been, and how you’ve grown?
I don’t. However, this month I had the gift of this perspective through the eyes of a “newbie.” It’s been refreshing and it’s brought be back to my purpose with an innocence that has been refreshing and energizing.
One of my new private session clients this month was a woman who was suffering from severe depression. She had never done energy/healing work of any sort before. She started working with me because she was at the end of her rope and was feeling like all her options for getting her life back had been exhausted.
We were chatting as the first session was getting going when she asked: “What do you do?” I explained that I help people through the three barriers that stop us from moving forward in our life. I explained that these barriers exist for every human being. That initially they are strategies for survival – they even help us thrive. At some point they become the barriers that hold us back.
The barriers are:
1) The Disembodied Soul
2) Giving Away Power
3) The Illusion of Separation
Once we’ve practiced busting through these barriers, I help people with the three steps to Spiritual Mastery (“healing” is a byproduct of Spiritual Mastery):
1) Excavate the Soul (viscerally experience your wholeness)
2) Throw out the Map (surrender)
3) Keep Digging (practice 1 & 2 daily)
I told her this is what I do with my clients whether they’re 7-figure earning best-selling authors, speakers and spiritual messengers, or someone struggling with depression, recovering from PTSD, or dealing with cancer. I explained that Beneath the Sand is the practice of wholeness that supports excavating your soul. That once we broke through the three barriers we would be going beneath the sand.
In our first session, I helped her come back into her body, call her power home, and pierce through the illusion of separation. At the close of the session she asked “Why is my body jumping? I feel like there’s energy running through my body in a way I’ve never experienced, and I have the energy and motivation to go run a marathon.” For months she has been struggling to get out of bed and find motivation for anything.
At the beginning of our second session, she reflected on the prior week telling me: “I’m sleeping through the night for the first time in I don’t know how long. My mind is quiet for the first time in my life. The other mothers at my daughter’s school all introduced themselves to me for the first time. People are just coming up and being nice to me. I’m feel like a human being again – I’m feeling happy and hopeful for the first time in a long time. But I’m scared it won’t last.”
Then we went beneath the sand.
In our final session earlier this week, at the beginning of the session she reflected on the prior week telling me: “I haven’t been completely relaxed without pills or alcohol in more than six years. This past week I was completely relaxed. The experiences of connection with new friends and my family have continued. I don’t understand what you do, but I feel great.”
I can’t put to words how profound it’s been to witness this woman begin to remember and experience who she really is – an undistorted expression and extension of the Divine. What a wonderful and humbling reminder of how extraordinary this gift is that I’ve been given.
Last Saturday I was doing a group session for my Solstice for Your Soul series (for the fall equinox). As I was preparing to do the session, I pulled my notes from the summer solstice event which took place in on June 20th. In my introductory notes I was commenting about the “3 or 4 steps of the spiritual journey.”
Between the end of June and the end of July I realized that there are three universal barriers to spiritual mastery. This happened as I was writing and editing the introduction and first chapter for my new book. Nearly five years of working with clients, and then this insight broke through into my conscious awareness.
In August, I took that awareness and began creating my first comprehensive program designed to be a complete resource for life/spiritual transformation called Foundations of Spiritual Mastery. And then in September, for the first time, I had the language to very simply communicate the work of moving through barriers to resonance with a woman who was struggling with depression.
I remember four years ago when I man from the East coast of the US contacted me on referral for a session. He asked what I did and I said: “I tune people to the frequency of the Divine.” He said, “There’s a book I’d like to read!” I told him I couldn’t say much about it, but if he wanted to have that experience I could help him.
In the years since the words have come (lots of words, as you know, LOL!). But the process of distilling into bite sized chunks that can be widely read, understood, and utilized for personal transformation and healing has taken place just this year as I’ve been working on my book. The awareness and language from the book now makes for easier to understand conversations and descriptions of my work. This makes it possible for more people to break free from the things that are holding them back, and experience more of their lives in resonance. Even for someone who was dealing with severe depression.
Experiencing my work through the eyes of a newbie this month has been so energizing. It’s brought me back to the basic energy of my soul, of my divinity within. To the energy of serving – of facilitating the visceral memory of wholeness from a place of innocence and awe.
No matter how many times I get to witness someone experiencing themselves in whole new way, it will never get old. I have been reminded of that this month with the gift of a perspective I’ve not experienced in a while.
I’m grateful to this woman who took a leap of faith with me, in the process giving me the opportunity to remember. I’m grateful to the Divine for a gift that is beyond words, that transforms lives and opens the inner door to healing. And I’m grateful to you. Without you, I wouldn’t get to do this for a living.
If you haven’t taken time to reflect on where you’ve been and your growth, I would challenge you to set aside some time in the next day to do just that.
That’s it for this week…From My Heart.
Peace,
Ken

PPS – The new program is just $97. It includes more than $1000 of programs (and not in that I’m going to over-estimate the value of these programs to fluff up the value of this program way that we see so often in internet marketing, LOL! Seriously – check it out – you’ll be shocked by what I’m including). Get your copy now:

PPPS – I’ve been working on this week’s From My Heart for more than a day. If I’d sent out what I wrote yesterday it would have been called From My Head, LOL!!
PPPPS – Take a moment to laugh this week. Think of something goofy that you did last week (or yesterday), and have a good laugh. Appreciate how the Divine loves you completely and meets you exactly where you are right now, no matter what is happening in your life. If you close your eyes and laugh and think of how much love there is around you, you’ll be back on track immediately.
