Simplicity — From My Heart

Do you like complicated answers?

I do.

I like to think the more complicated, the more compelling the solution.

***

In the summer of 2010 I decided I would put together a website to offer my services.

I wanted to offer programs specific to each problem: Financial Abundance, Physical and Emotional Health, Relationships, etc.

I had been asking for the answer to what those practices would be throughout the summer and early fall.

Then one day in September during a private session, I saw a picture of how everything fits together in a flash.

In that moment I knew how things work – what the answer is to all the “problems” we face as human beings – and how to guide people to the place where all challenges melt away and we experience and feel ourselves for the whole expressions of God that we are.

The picture was unbelievably simple. Many problems – one answer.

Out loud I said: “That’s IT?!!”

***

This was my first awareness of Beneath the Sand.

***

In subsequent months I explored Beneath the Sand with clients in private session – ultimately teaching an online course that included daily practices.

The results that have been reported back to me for what happens when people learn Beneath the Sand and utilize in their daily life are nothing short of stunning.

And of course they all make sense: when we return to the feeling – the experience – of who we really are (by going beneath the illusion of separation – beneath the sand) we set the table for the most extraordinary transformation possible: we lift the veil and actually experience ourselves as we truly are.

***

Is there one path to an experience of wholeness?

Of course not.

There are many paths home.

***

Once you have gone home, you’ll want to go home again.

And you can. Over and over again. As a practice – the way you meditate or reflect and clear your mind in a stressful moment.

Wholeness becomes the perspective from which you live your life.

***

Is there more?

Only to let go.

To throw out the map: surrendering both the destination and the process – the how and the what.

***

That’s it – it really is that simple.

***

It’s these two simple reminders that I carry into my life each day.

When I stumble into separation, the path back to resonance is: Beneath the Sand + Surrender.

The details don’t matter. Relationship, health, money, or anything else.

No matter how complicated the challenge may appear, the simplicity of wholeness and surrender underlies each situation – each moment of our lives.

***

May you open the door to simplicity each day of your life as you remember and experience who you really are. May you remember the way home and may you feel what it is to be home in every moment of your life.

May you embody the love that you discover within in your place of wholeness, and may you allow that love to emanate from your very being, in the process demonstrating what we are all capable of while shining your light and sharing your gifts.

In the midst of complexity, may you know the simple truth.

***

That’s it for this week … From My Heart.

Peace,

Ken

PS – One expression of simplicity that I’ve been excited to live and share is Kindness. I had the opportunity to join Fran Harris in starting the iKindness Project a couple of weeks ago. Join the conversation, join the movement: http://ikindnessproject.com/
