When things aren’t going well, it’s easy for me to focus in on what’s wrong and try to figure out how to fix it.

I can become quite fixated on what’s wrong and what I need to do to make it better.

This approach has yet to produce an experience of deeper resonance for me.

Nor have I ever discovered what was wrong, or how to fix it.

During meditation one morning, I had an epiphany:

Does the Divine focus on each of us differently, depending on our experiences, challenges, or opportunities?

Does this question even make sense, if we attempt to perceive the universe from the perspective of the Divine?

The answers that came back for me then, that are reaffirmed daily in my life, and in my private practice, is no.

Unconditional love does not differentiate.

***

Because we are all part of the ONE there is **NOTHING** that is not part of us.

More specifically, everything that exists, exists within you. Literally – the cosmos is inside your body – that is how extraordinary you are!

[note: if this last sentence is causing resistance I invite you to close your eyes and reflect for a few minutes, or an hour or more, on this:

Your embodied soul is the pathway through which you experience the Divine within your body.

There is nothing that is not Divine. Including you.

The Divine is within you. You are becoming the Divine.

The Divine is becoming you.

Everything Divine is within you.

Everything is within you.

If you like you can record the following in your own voice and listen to it as you reflect:

“My embodied soul is a pathway through which I experience the Divine in my body.”

(pause and wait until you feel resonance with this statement)

“There is nothing that is not Divine.”

(pause until you feel resonance)

“Including me.”

(pause)

“The Divine is within me.”

(pause)

“I am becoming the Divine.”

(pause)

“The Divine is becoming me.”

(pause)

“Everything Divine is within me.”

(pause)

“Everything is within me.”

(pause)

These perspectives (unconditional love and differentiation are fundamentally incompatible – and we are all part of the one) opens a powerful door in our lives when it comes to “healing” our lives, the world, and the planet we share.

First: We have an opportunity to take our focus within.

Second: We have an opportunity to focus equally on all components of the whole.

Third: If we choose to take our awareness beyond what lies within, we have an opportunity to once again focus equally on all components of the whole.

If one part of the body gives rise to pain, focus on all parts equally and return to resonance.

***

If one part of the world gives rise to pain, focus on all parts equally and return to resonance.

***

If one relationship gives rise to pain, remember that your connection is the same with every instance of consciousness in the universe.  And return to resonance.

Your very essence expresses itself in many forms. Yet there is no difference between the expressions (money, love, health, etc.).

***

Sometimes I remember quickly – other times it takes a while. The only difference between the two is the amount of suffering necessary to jog my memory.

In the end, I bring my focus back on all instances equally. And I return to resonance.
